Hot Stones

Hot Stones Hot Stone Therapy is a form of massage in which a person is covered with a sheet or towel and then warmed stones are applied through this to impart pressure and heat to the skin and muscles. Stones may also be placed directly on the skin or used as tools to apply massage. A client can request light, medium or deep pressure. The solidity of the stones makes for a deep tissue massage while the heat helps relax muscles and increases the blood flow to the area being worked on. Hot stones provide a massage that is deep and very relaxing both physically and mentally.

Moxibustion

Moxibustion is a Traditional Chinese Medicine therapy that makes use of the herb moxa (mugwort). The therapist burns or heats the herbal preparation, near or lightly in contact with the client's skin. The heated moxa promotes healing, enhances energy flow, and encourages the circulation in areas thus treated, and may be used to prepare the region for acupuncture or massage, or to supplement such treatment.

Moxibustion has been scientifically proven to have various positive effects for pregnant and menstruating women. Especially when used in conjunction with acupuncture, shiatsu, or other therapies, it can be used to treat menstrual discomfort, low back pain, headaches; cold hands and feet. And poor circulation.

Infrared Heat Lamp Therapy
